CETL director Josh Eyler and associate director Liz Norell recently attended the AAC&U conference on general education, pedagogy, and assessment (GEPA). Here's their report.
The fact that the debate over how to say the G in GEPA (much like GIF) rages on brings me much merriment. I've been working in web development since 1997, so this is not a new debate for me ... and in both cases, I default to a hard g. I don't mind a soft g in GIF, but I am having a really hard time adopting it in GEPA.
I appreciate the footnote on the pronunciation of GEPA!
Funny though, I'm a hard-line soft g on gif, but I would assume GEPA would have a hard g sound.
